Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gently separate the kataifi strands in a bowl. Melt ⅓ cup of butter and drizzle over the kataifi, tossing to coat.
  • Spread the butter-coated kataifi evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Melt 5.3 ounces of white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring after each 30-second interval until silky smooth. Mix in pistachio butter and salt. Add oil if needed.
  • Finely chop the cooled kataifi and fold into the creamy filling mixture until evenly distributed.
  • Form walnut-sized balls from the mixture, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  • Melt 14.1 ounces of dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  • Dip each ball into the melted dark chocolate, allowing excess to drip off before placing on parchment paper. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  • Allow balls to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to set, then store in an airtight container.
