  • In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and eggs. Beat until creamy and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Fold in the yogurt, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the egg and sugar mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Sift this dry mixture into the wet ingredients and stir until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the diced pears until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
