Ingredients
For the Batter
- 1 box White cake mix
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- ¾ cup Granulated sugar
- 1 box Vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup Sour cream
- ½ cup Vegetable oil
- 1 cup Water
- 4 large Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 10 cookies Crushed Oreos (for batter)
For the Buttercream Frosting
- 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
- 4 cups Confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons Milk more if needed
- 5 cookies Crushed Oreos (for frosting)
- 28 cookies Mini Oreos (for topping)
Instructions
Cupcake Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In a bowl, mix together white cake mix, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and vanilla pudding mix.
- Combine wet ingredients: sour cream, vegetable oil, water, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Fold in crushed Oreos into the batter.
- Fill cupcake liners ¾ full with batter.
- Bake for approximately 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Cream softened butter until fluffy, then gradually mix in confectioners’ sugar and milk until desired consistency is reached.
- Fold in crushed Oreos into the buttercream.
- Frost cooled cupcakes with Oreo buttercream and top with mini Oreos.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature ingredients and allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
