Instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Begin by separating the 24 Oreo cookies, scraping the cream filling into a small bowl. Place the cookie halves into a food processor and pulse them until they turn into a fine crumb, resembling sand.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs with 3 tablespoons of whole milk. Mix well until the mixture forms a pliable dough that holds together when pressed.
  • Place the Oreo dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Using a rolling pin, gently roll it out into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick, ensuring even thickness throughout.
  • In a clean mixing bowl, beat together the reserved Oreo cream filling, 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out Oreo base, leaving a small margin around the edges to prevent overflow.
  • Using the parchment paper beneath, carefully lift and roll the Oreo dough tightly from one end to the other, pinching the exposed edges to seal them.
  • Wrap the rolled sushi in the parchment paper and place it into the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set.
  • After chilling, remove the roll and carefully slice it into about 12 even pieces using a sharp knife.
  • Finally, drizzle the melted dark chocolate over each piece of sushi and optionally sprinkle on some colorful decorations like sprinkles or shredded coconut.
