Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 6 cups Pears peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice to prevent browning
  • ½ cup Brown sugar for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch to thicken juices

For the Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ½ teaspoon Salt to enhance flavors

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Combine sliced pears, lemon juice, brown sugar, fresh ginger, ground cinnamon, and cornstarch in a mixing bowl.
  • In another bowl, mix rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Spread the pear mixture into the greased baking dish, then sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over it.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
  • Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

Choose ripe pears for best results. Let the crumble rest before serving for easier portioning.
