Step-by-Step Instructions for Strawberry Tiramisu

  • Combine sliced fresh strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar in a medium bowl. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and forms soft peaks.
  • Pour cooled brewed coffee in a shallow dish. Quickly dip each ladyfinger for 1-2 seconds to soak.
  • Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a serving dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.
  • Spoon half of the macerated strawberries over the mascarpone mixture.
  • Repeat by adding another layer of soaked ladyfingers, remaining mascarpone mixture, and top with remaining macerated strawberries.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder or garnish with additional strawberries.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor and avoid over-soaking the ladyfingers in coffee.
