  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 9-10 inch skillet or baking dish thoroughly and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, thick rolled oats, brown sugar, fine sea salt, cinnamon, and cardamom. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Stir in chopped pecans and refrigerate.
  • Slice ripe plums and mix with lemon juice, lemon zest, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Let sit for 10 minutes, then stir in tapioca flour.
  • Spoon the plum filling into the buttered baking dish, then crumble the chilled topping over the mixture evenly.
  • Place the dish on a lined baking sheet and bake for 50-60 minutes until the filling is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and cool for 30 minutes before serving warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
