Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing continuously, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Immediately scatter mini marshmallows on top and return to the oven for 2 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat, then whisk in cocoa powder and milk until smooth.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and powdered sugar until well combined.
  • Pour fudge frosting over the marshmallows and let the cake cool completely before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother batter and be cautious not to overmix. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
